Standard delivery times for up to 5,000 cards is 12 working days from receipt of your artwork approval. For a small fee (additional 15% of the pre tax price or £50, whichever is the greater) we can expedite your plastic card order and guarantee to ship them in just 7 working days from receipt of your artwork approval. For card orders of more than 5,000 cards delivery times are 16 working days from receipt of artwork approval and the guaranteed fast-track service is 11 working days. The fast-track costs are charged at the same rate of 15% of the pre tax price. The additional time to manufacture 5,000+ cards is required as we use the latest litho printing technology which enables us to deliver the highest quality available but as with all things in life, perfection takes that little bit longer.

Approximately three quarters the thickness of a standard credit card our 550 micron cards are a very popular card thickness selection for business card and loyalty card orders.

A magentic stripe card is a type of card capable of storing data by modifying the magnetism of tiny iron-based magnetic particles on a band of magnetic material on the card. The magnetic stripe, sometimes called a magstrip, is read by physical contact and swiping past a reading head. Magnetic stripe cards are commonly used in credit cards, ID cards, transportation tickets and so on.

The addition of a magnetic stripe encoder to your plastic card printer gives the user the ability to encode information onto a plastic card in a machine readable format, i.e. the card can be swiped through a card reader. The information can also be printed in a human readable format at the same time. Encoding a plastic card, depending on the volume of information that is encoded, adds approximately 2 seconds to the print time.
The encoded card can be integrated into membership, access control, loyalty and discount applications.

Common on membership card, loyalty card and discount card or fob applications we can have the cards consecutively numbered to enable each card to be identified to a human or computer system. Any start point for the number range can be stipulated.

A smart card, chip card, or integrated circuit card (ICC), is any card with embedded integrated circuits. A chip card or microprocessor cards contain volatile memory and microprocessor components. Smart cards may also provide strong security authentication for single sign-on (SSO) within large organisations.
The benefits of smart cards are directly related to the volume of information and applications that are programmed for use on a card. A single contact smart card can be programmed with multiple banking credentials, medical entitlement, driver's license/public transport entitlement, loyalty programs and club memberships to name just a few.

We are able to add signature panel(s) to your printed plastic cards enabling the end-user to sign and confirm ownership. Some customers add multiple panels to use as information cards or as a business lead card.
Embossing

Embossing and Tipping
Our plastic card embossers can emboss information personalising the cards to the user. Typically used for membership cards embossing adds intrinsic value to the cards due to their likeness to credit cards. Tipping is the colouration of the embossed characters. This can be done in black, silver or gold.
Metallic
Metallic Base Coat
We are able to offer metallic printing to our cards for a small additional fee. Often used to identify higher levels of membership or to create a more striking design. Mifare
Mifare Contactless Chip
Mifare is a contactless smart card technology that enables multiple applications such as cashless vending, access control, secure PC logon, loyalty, transport and ID cards to name but a few applications. Mifare is reputedly the most widely installed contactless smart card technology in the world with 500 million smart card chips and 5 million reader modules sold. The technology is patented by NXP Semiconductors. The MIFARE proprietary technology is based upon the ISO 14443 (RFID) Type A 13.56 MHz contactless smartcard standard.

Thermal personalisation enables us to put variable information onto the printed cards. This data can be anything you require in any font however typically it is utilised for applications such as barcodes, names, numbering and expiry dates.

- Within 16 working hours a member of our design department will email you an artwork approval form illustrating exactly how your printed plastic cards will look (click here to see an example).
- You either request amendments or approve the design specification and we get underway with the production!
- Unless you have agreed a fast-track service with one of our sales representatives your cards will be delivered by UPS in approximately 10 working days.

If you would prefer to pay on invoice and benefit from 30 days payment terms on your plastic card order UK based customers can pay on account. This service is available for both new and existing customers. Existing customers will need to provide contact details, company name, delivery address and, if applicable, a purchase order number. New customers will, in addition, need to complete our short credit account application form which enables to ascertain the value of credit we can offer. All credit applications are processed same day, you will be notified via email confirmation of your credit account activation. This process only needs to be done once.
